IPO Filings Are Picking Up

The market for tech IPOs has been lackluster in 2005, and judging by the number of companies filing to go public, the pipeline doesn't appear to be building. As of Apr. 25, only 12 technology and communications companies had filed to go public, vs. 44 in the first four months of 2004. If April is any indication, activity may be picking up. It matched January with the most IPO filings of any month so far this year.
